Laurence K. Rubin was elected as the 41st President of Temple Beth Zion at its annual meeting. Founded in 1850 and with a membership of over 1,000 households, Temple Beth Zion is one of the oldest and largest Reform Jewish synagugues in the nation. Larry has been a menber of the congregagtion's Board of Trustees for the past four years and served for the past year as the Board's First Vice President. Larry is a past president of Jewish Family Service of Buffalo and Erie County, and currently serves on a number of other civic board's, including the Buffalo Museum of Science and the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo. .

Steve Suneson has been elected to a two year term on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Western New York. JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide.

On June 3, 2008

Elisha J. Burkart was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Western New York Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York. She will serve in the position of Local Director.

Laurence K. Rubin has been elected to a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences. Founded in 1861, the Society operates the Buffalo Museum of Science, Tifft Nature Preserve, and the Elmwood Science Spot. Mr. Rubin previously served on the Board of Directors as Erie County Commissioner of Environment and Planning and as Erie County Attorney.

Partner Deborah J. Chadsey has been named to the Advisory Board to Northwest Savings Bank (New York), effective April 23, 2008. Ms. Chadsey has worked with the Bank in their facilities development operations throughout Western New York since 2002. Northwest Savings Bank, a $6.6 billion-asset bank, operates in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland and Florida

On April 9, 2008, Erin E. Bahn gave a presentation at the Human Resources Executive Roundtable sponsored by Robert Half International at the Buffalo Club. She was invited to give a presentation on current immigration laws and the impact these laws have on U.S. companies seeking to recruit top talent.
